Hi Parachat,
I have a problem (again). My Parachat Pro chat room is frequented by many teenagers. As some of the teens tend to use a lot of profanity, I've turned on the profanity filter. The filter works fine when it comes to blocking commonly spelled profane terms. However, the teens have quickly adapted to the filter by finding creative ways to spell dirty words.
For example, the filter blocks "%%%%" without any problems. However, the teens now bypass the filter by using "%%%%". Likewise, the filter takes care of "%%%%%" -- but the teens get around that by using "%%%%%" and "%%%%%" (replacing the "i" with a capital "L" that looks like an "i").
So, I'm getting calls from parents who are angry that the profanity filter is weak. To be sure, we can kick or ban kids who use those creative spellings. However, we don't have enough admins to cover all hours that the chat room is open.
Given the above-mentioned scenario, is there any way in the admin functions to add additional words to the Parachat Pro profanity filter? If not, can I submit a list of additional words to your Parachat team and make a request that they consider adding the words I send to them to the filter?
Curiously,
Chazz
